Step 1 of 7

It rolls in like this.

Road film, lovebug residue, hard-water spots, brake dust and yellowed headlights. Under shop lights, it all shows up.

Every job starts with an inspection, so you know what can be fixed, what can be improved, and what it’ll take.

Step 2 of 7

Foam first. Then a hand wash.

Thick pH-neutral foam soaks into the grit and carries it away before a wash mitt ever touches the paint. Then a two-bucket hand wash, panel by panel.

Most swirl marks come from washing. Lifting dirt off instead of dragging it across the paint is how you stop making new ones.

Step 3 of 7

Wheels, tires and brakes.

Brake dust is hot metal that bakes onto rims and calipers. An iron remover breaks it down, turning purple as it works, then soft brushes get into the barrels, lug nuts and caliper faces. Tires are scrubbed back to clean rubber and dressed to a satin finish.

Left on, brake dust can pit a wheel’s finish for good.

Step 4 of 7

Headlight restoration.

Yellow, foggy lenses are oxidized plastic. We sand off the damaged layer, polish the lens back to clear and seal it with a UV coating so it stays that way.

Cloudy lenses scatter light and cut how far you can see at night.

Step 5 of 7

Paint correction.

A clay bar pulls out contamination bonded to the paint. Then machine polishing levels the clear coat a few microns at a time, cutting out swirls, haze and light scratches instead of filling them in.

Filler glazes wash away in weeks. Correction is permanent, which is why the reflection gets sharper rather than just shinier.

Step 6 of 7

Leather and interior.

Leather is cleaned with a pH-balanced cleaner and a soft brush to lift body oils and dye transfer out of the grain, then conditioned with UV protection. Carpets are shampooed and extracted, and every vent, seam and cupholder gets steamed.

Florida sun dries leather out fast. Regular cleaning and conditioning keeps it soft and stops cracks before they start.

Step 7 of 7

Ceramic coating.

A hard, slick layer bonds to the clear coat. Water beads and rolls off, bug acids and UV have a harder time getting to the paint, and weekly washes get a lot quicker.

It locks in the finish underneath it. That’s why the paint gets corrected first.

    Before and after.

Drag the slider across each one. Swirls, oxidized headlights, baked-on brake dust and stained seats are the four things we see most on Southwest Florida cars.

    Florida is hard on paint.

A car in Fort Myers deals with things a car in Ohio never sees. Here’s what we protect against.

    Year-round sun

UV breaks down clear coat until it goes chalky and starts to peel, especially on roofs and hoods. It also fades and cracks dashboards and leather.

    Lovebug season

Every May and September. Their remains turn acidic in the heat and can etch paint within days if they’re left on the front end.

    Salt air and hard water

Coastal salt speeds up corrosion on bare metal and wheels. Sprinklers and summer storms leave mineral spots that bake in and etch if they’re not removed.

    Pollen, sap and humidity

Tree sap and pollen bond to warm paint. Inside, humidity feeds mildew and odors in carpet and seats if spills aren’t fully extracted.

    Questions people ask.

How long does a full detail take?

Most full interior and exterior details take four to six hours. Large SUVs, heavy pet hair or a lot of staining can add time. Paint correction and ceramic coating are usually one to three days because the coating needs time to cure.

Will paint correction remove every scratch?

It removes swirls, haze, water etching and most light scratches. If a scratch catches your fingernail, it has likely gone through the clear coat. Polishing can make it much less visible, but it may need touch-up paint to fully disappear. We’ll tell you which is which during the inspection.

Is ceramic coating worth it in Florida?

For most cars that live outside here, yes. A coating adds a harder barrier against UV, bug acids and mineral spots, and it makes washing much faster. It doesn’t make a car scratch-proof, and it still needs regular, gentle washing.

How should I wash a coated car?

Use a pH-neutral car shampoo, two buckets and a clean microfiber mitt, and wash out of direct sun. Skip automatic car washes with brushes, which put swirls right back into the paint. A maintenance wash every few weeks keeps the coating performing.

What do you need from me to quote a job?

Your vehicle’s year, make and model, the service you’re interested in, and a few photos of the areas you care about most. Photos in daylight show the true condition of the paint best.
